The North Face launches Renewed resale in UK

Adventure and outdoor gear is designed to be hardwearing, but there are limits. So with the aid of a rhyme, The North Face is launching ‘North Face Renewed’ online.

The North Face

It says: “There’s no product better than the one you wear, no rip or tear that’s beyond repair”.

And as product regeneration theme continues to gather pace, the retail giant’s journey to become a circular platform retailer wants to give “hard-worn garments a second life” by offering customers the opportunity “to buy repaired and refreshed product directly from The North Face”.

Product is available to buy online year-round at thenorthfacerenewed.co.uk, and will be in the Regent Street store for one week from 29 April to celebrate the launch.

Alongside “trusted partner” ACS, the retailer takes each returned item through a “robust evaluation process” to assess its needs. Any item that’s unsalvageable is donated, recycled, or upcycled and all other items are reviewed by technicians to inspect the gear and identify any issues that need to be refurbished.

Next, the items are cleaned to remove any dirt or debris from previous adventures “to bring them back to factory standards”. After that, repair technicians “tune up the gear to make it good as new”. Finally, each piece is quality assured before being added to the website for sale.

Each item available through the Renewed platform, powered by resale technology partner Archive, “is not only quality assured but certified as a genuine The North Face product”.
