Uber India has rolled out a new feature which will make your travel more economical. The cab service provider has introduced a new feature of Group Rides in India. The feature enables the riders to share their Uber rides with up to three friends when they are travelling to the same destination.
“Riding with friends just got easier: set up a group ride in the Uber app, invite your friends, and arrive at your destination. Friends who ride together save together,” said Uber.
The Uber Group rides are a cost-effective feature as it will split the total amount between the riders. The company also claims that users will be able to save up to 30% on their fares if they take up Group rides.
How to book Group ride on Uber
– First open the updated Uber app on your smartphone
– Now select the ‘Services’ tab and tap on Group rides
– The app will then ask you to enter the destination
– Once done, it will prompt you to invite friends for the ride
– Then a link will be sent out to your selected contacts with the group ride details
– After this, your friends will have to add their respective stops
– Then a driver will be assigned for the ride and the trip will begin

Not only do riders save money and arrive at the common destination together, they also do the good deed of reducing vehicles on the road by getting more butts in fewer cars.”
