It seemed like Kohli was trying to put his case forward as to why he reckons he was not out.
Kolkata: Virat Kohli was fuming even after Kolkata Knight Riders beat Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Sunday by a run at the Eden Gardens. Kohli was gutted after his controversial dismissal was not at peace with himself even after the match as he was spotted having a heated conversation with the umpires. It seemed like Kohli was trying to put his case forward as to why he reckons he was not out. Kohli perished for 17 off eight balls off a controversial delivery. While Kohli and most reckoned it was a no-ball, the new rule showed that he was out.
Here is the post-match clip that is now going viral:

Following the heartbreaking loss, Faf defended Kohli’s act towards the umpires.
“It was crazy, rules are rules, Virat and myself thought that the ball was higher than the waist (on Kohli’s dismissal), I guess they measured from the popping crease, one team thinks it’s high, the other doesn’t,” Faf said at the post-match presentation.
Meanwhile, captain Shreyas Iyer hit a 36-ball fifty, his first half-century in IPL since May 2022, while Phil Salt and Ramandeep Singh smashed quick cameos and Andre Russell followed it up with a three-fer as Kolkata Knight Riders survived a late Karn Sharma scare to clinch a nail-biting victory.
RCB find themselves at the bottom of the points table with a solitary win in eight games. They would now need a miracle from here to make the playoff.
