Keke Palmer welcomed the Virgo season and celebrated her 30th birthday — or “Durrty Thirty,” as she called it — on August 26 by getting literally dirty for a photo shoot. To pair with the grungy look, she wore blonde-streaked chocolate curls that were basically dripping wet.
The multi-hyphenate posted a few photos from her birthday shoot, which was shot by Los Angeles-based photographer Jacob Webster, to Instagram on her birthday. In the first photo she shared, Palmer sat on a tile floor while wearing a leather skintight bodysuit with her two-toned damp curls falling around her. The bright blonde curls stood out from the rest of the dark mocha-hued hair, which was a wig from Kendra’s Boutique installed by Los Angeles-based hairstylist Keshaun Williamson, a.k.a. the Lace Assassin.
Though most of her hair looks black-brown when wet, it’s more of a warm chocolate hue, which you can see better in Williamson’s Instagram post of the look. Additionally, a few of the blonde pieces were braided. Also if you look closer at Williamson’s video, you can see a few brunette faux locs in her hair as well.
Her glossy, smoky eye makeup and ombré lips were the perfect match for this wet look. Makeup artist Kenya Alexis blended several dark pigments on Palmer’s eyes and added a glaze of some sort for the wet-looking sheen. Her brown-lined lips and warm tan lip gloss looked slick and shiny on her lips.
