New Delhi: Chennai Super Kings batter Sameer Rizvi said that he wants to replicate MS Dhoni’s success in cricket. CSK batter also revealed that he is currently working on suggestions that was given by the former CSK skipper.
Sameer Rizvi started his IPL career with a six against Gujarat Titans’ star spinner Rashid Khan. In his debut IPL match, he scored 14 runs in IPL with a strike rate of 200.
“I have asked a couple of questions to Dhoni bhaiya – he suggested some things, since then my aim has been to execute those learnings in the field – I can feel that I am improving with more practice, if I get an opportunity, I wish to replicate the success of Dhoni Bhaiya” said Rizvi to CSK.
Earlier, Rizvi shared a photo with MS Dhoni on his Instagram captioned, Soaking in all the widsom from the GOAT. From watching him conjure magic on the TV screen to sharing the dressing room with him, a dream come true indeed!.
CSK brought the batter for a whopping Rs. 8.4 crore because of his stellar performance in the domestic cricket. He was among the highest run-getters in the UP T20 League held in August and September last year.
Rizvi made his IPL debut in the first match of the tournament, against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), but didn’t get to bat in that game.
